Here’s a shot of Michal in our shelter. The previous owners made it into a walk-in closet. The two of us can fit in there comfortably. Michal has slept in there several times. Last night, for example, we were awakened at 2am and 3am. Usually we’re required to stay safe for 20-30 minutes to avoid any falling shrapnel. Newer apartments have one bedroom which is reinforced to serve as a shelter. That’s ideal. Some people have a shelter in the basement of the apartment house. Others have to rely on public shelters. There are two right near us. And then there are some, including many Israeli Arabs, who have no shelter available.
Thank God for our excellent defenses against drones and missiles!
