We All Live on Our Grassroots American Jewish Street; Come On Out and Live a Little

President Trump’s right at least about this: We grassroots American Jews must openly manifest pride in our lifestyle, our people and its homeland – i.e., in ourselves. Being personally part of my website’s “Grassroots American Jewish Street” is one way of doing this. We all live on this street. Come on out and live a little.
You don’t have to be a Republican to agree with President Trump’s encouragement of us grassroots American Jews, after the Bondi Beach massacre, to “be proud of who you are.” One way is through being part of a website, my website’s “Grassroots American Jewish Street,” which, belonging to no organization, is just out there for us to show pride in who we are.
So this week let’s take a brief spin through it, laced with my encouragement for you personally to participate in making it glow. There are multiple ways. I invite, implore you to join in all.

There’s new stuff posted here every week. So our Street’s first menu selection – What’s Featured, What’s New – is both “what’s new” and a highlight of one of our Street’s places.
Our Featured This Week place is Israel Good News: Restore the Pride. New weekly blogger Bob’s way of strengthening our pride is through knowing and appreciating Israel’s amazing innovations and high tech and medical breakthroughs benefiting all. It’s a parallel path to my own belief that our most meaningful pride manifestation is joining in Israelis’ insistence that ripping historic Jerusalem and Judea-Samaria from our Jewish national home would render it a defenseless, Jewishly meaningless Jewish national ghetto, and through making clear to both America’s political parties that we agree with Israelis that this, as an Israeli news outlet puts it, is Unthinkable.

Steve & Michal made Aliyah decades ago. They’re athletic folks and their recounting of their hikes and tours mix nature, archeology, history and more through Israel’s urban and rural scenes. The “Gripping Books” are selections from my (and ok the parrot’s) private non-fiction Israel library of over a thousand volumes. I’m obsessed that reading stirring, often gripping first-person, accounts of, e.g., aliyah bet, Six Day and Yom Kippur wars, the still-standing Temple Mount, etc., will go far in informing and strengthening your homeland pride.

I beseech you, my fellow grassroots, take Trump’s advice, one way by making yourselves personally part of this internet age manifestation of grassroots American Jewish Pride in our peoplehood, lifestyle, support of our people’s historic homeland of Israel.
