Israelis Rank 8th in World Happiness Report, Young Leading the Way
It is awesome to report that despite being actively engaged in combat for over two years, Israel placed eighth in the 2026 Happiness Report for the second straight year.
Said Anat Panti, a researcher in happiness at Bar Ilan University:
“These findings suggest that even under the strain of prolonged war, the deeper sources of Israeli resilience, family ties, community, faith, a sense of belonging and strong social bonds are helping large parts of society remain well above the global average.”
Particularly notable is the performance of Israelis under the age of 25, who placed third worldwide in their category in terms of happiness.
