Advocate for Israel

Jerome R. Verlin was born and raised in Philadelphia. He attended public schools and later earned degrees from Washington & Lee University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. For 40 years, he worked as a software developer, creating programs for businesses to help them run better. Jerome also served as the national president of the Brith Sholom organization, which has a rich history supporting Jewish causes.
Jerome is the author of the book Israel 3000 Years, where he shares the long history of the Jewish people in Israel. Many people mistakenly think that Jews have been in exile for 1,800 years, but Jerome explains that their presence in Israel has never stopped. He also co-wrote Pressing Israel: Media Bias Exposed From A-to-Z, where he addresses misunderstandings about Israel in the media.
For the last 25 years, Jerome has sent out a weekly email to American Jews. In these emails, he talks about the unfair treatment of Israel in the media and how certain words can hurt the image of Israel. Jerome has collected over a thousand books about Israel and uses them to share facts and clear up myths. His latest book, Here & Now: U.S. Jews and the Issues Confronting Us, combines important ideas from his emails to help readers understand the Jewish community’s current challenges.
